THE COCKTAIL ABC
Summer is in full swing and that means cocktails. Preferably on a white beach under a palm tree of course, but well, we can't have everything, can we? Today in 26 letters the tastiest summer drinks there are. From the G for Gin tonic (of course) to the Z for Zombie. Here we go.
intro
To drink on every terrace in Italy. A bittersweet liqueur with prosecco and topped with sparkling water. It is especially drunk as an aperitif.
It is said to be the best medicine against a hangover. Tomato juice with Vodka. A good amount of Tabasco, Worcestershire sauce, and salt and pepper mixed in. Add a celery stick, delicious.
When I say Carrie, Marinda, Charlotte, and Samantha you say cosmopolitan, right?? No cocktail menu where it isn't listed.
White rum, sugar syrup, and lemon juice. Usually mixed with fruit, which gives it color. The most common is the strawberry daiquiri. And I think it's best frozen, with lots of crushed ice.
If there’s Elderflower in a cocktail, it’s delicious. It has a bit of a honey-scented blossom from the elderberry bush. Nice with Gin, lemon juice, and sparkling water. Everything in a long drink, lots of ice, and done.
Chic in a tall glass at a nice hotel bar, before you sit down at the table. Gin, raspberry liqueur, and pineapple juice. Sigh.
Perhaps the trendiest drink at the moment. Available in all scents, colors, and sizes. Even the tonic is now super important. No ordinary Schweppes, but preferably Fever Tree. And we haven't even talked about the Gin yet. Gordons is really out. Hendrick's it is. And preferably with a slice of cucumber.
Everything mixed together. A lot. Of. Cocktails.
Whiskey, brown sugar, strong espresso, and half whipped cream (unsweetened). It's a bomb, but a popular one for after dinner.
I don't think I need to add anything more. Ice-cold Jagermeister (from the freezer) in a small shot glass. Down in one go. Brrrrr.
Champagne, my favorite. A small layer of crème de Cassis at the bottom of the glass, topped with a good bubble.
The Balón 43 from Licor43. Very easy to make and a delicious summer drink. Licor43, lemon juice, soda, and orange, and lots of ice.
Who doesn't know it? It's quite an art to make a really good one. How many semi-mojitos I have drunk. You can best order this at a bar where a really good shaker boy is.
See the H.
You have so many different variations of the martini cocktail.
If you want to bring a bit of the tropics home, make a Pina Colada. White rum, coconut milk, cream, and pineapple juice. The next day, you might want to run an extra round. In the tropics, this cocktail is drunk from a coconut with a straw. Can I go there now?
This is a candy. Brandy, cherry liqueur, and vodka.
Do you remember? For me, definitely eight years ago. The cocktail that tastes exactly like the rocket ice cream. Fanta with Bacardi Razz.
This one is especially popular with women. You don't need a shaker for this. Cranberry juice, Vodka, orange juice, peach liqueur, and ice cubes. Everything in the glass.
A sunrise in your glass. Tequila, orange juice, and lemon juice mixed in your glass. Then slowly drizzle grenadine into the drink.
This is really a winner. It's a bit of work, but you'll be standing on your chair from how delicious it is. Gin, fresh strawberries, basil, lemon juice, lime juice, a few drops of agave syrup, and ice cubes. Muddle the strawberries with basil in a cocktail shaker. Then add the other ingredients. Shake it up and pour it (without the ice cubes) into a martini glass.
Also known as the model drink. I'm a fan. Vodka has few calories and sugars (and I also find it damn tasty) and the Spa red dilutes it too. Be careful, you can get quite drunk from it, because the alcohol is barely noticeable, but since you're also drinking sparkling water all night, you have medium trouble with your hangover.
Maybe more of a man's drink, but it makes me happy too. Just with crushed ice, no ice cubes. Take a good whiskey, sugar syrup, lemon juice, and egg white. Shake it up and pour it into a whiskey glass with crushed ice.
Champagne. That's it. Nothing more to add.
You can be really looking forward to it and also have a lot of regrets. This cocktail contains lemoncello, gin, lemon juice, 7-up, and mint. Oh so delicious, but also guaranteed to give you a hangover. You know what you should take then, right? See the B.
We conclude with a mega strong, delicious fruit cocktail. More for the men, because they can handle the high alcohol percentage better. There's a lot of goodness in it. Just look at this recipe.
