5 great series you might not know yet

After having watched Sex and the City and Friends for the hundredth time, Orange is the New Black I'm ready for something new. So I ask around the editorial team if anyone knows a series I might not have seen yet. Four colleagues enthusiastically start shouting here with conviction. Look, that's what I love.

I don't know if you had plans this weekend, but you might want to cancel them for a TV night. Haven't you seen these 5 gems yet? Lucky you…

Forbrydelsen

Internationally known as ‘The Killing’, but in Danish it's of course much more fun. Forbrydelsen is about the headstrong inspector Sarah Lund, who, along with her colleague Jan Meyer, is tasked with investigating the rape and murder of a nineteen-year-old girl. And if I have to believe our sales queen Danielle, it's really super suspenseful. I'm already parking my butt on the couch.

Source

Joss swears by Scandinavian series. I don't find that strange, because it really seems that actors in Sweden are not cast for their looks, but for their acting talent. “I’m so bummed that I binge-watched this crime series in one weekend.”

True Detective

Our translator Elke is a fan of the American True Detective. Okay, mainly because Matthew McConaughey plays a detective in season 1, but also because the storyline is really great.

Peaky Blinders

Marketing hero Theo is hooked on the English drama series Peaky Blinders. The series is set in Birmingham just after World War I. “The main character, Thomas Selby, leads one of the most terrifying gangs in the city, the Peaky Blinders. You really have to see it.”

Scandal

And then I’ll top off the list with my new favorite series: Scandal. Just started, but I'm already addicted to lawyer Olivia Pope and her team. Just for her fashionable outfits, it's definitely worth it.
