7 BIZAR COOL HOTELS FOR THE BUCKET LIST

Ah, life is short and a person wants something. Bye bye standard hotel room, colorless holiday home, and boring campsite, say hello to staying in a bizarre spectacular location. Well, that's nice for your Insta account, of course.

I have a new addiction and can't help but type holidayguru.nl at least three times a day with my fingers. Besides ‘regular’ holiday spots, they also offer a selection of spectacular accommodations. Yo, I'm already packing my suitcase, shall I meet you at Schiphol?

1. Dream destination for lovebirds

Just married? Or is it on the agenda? Or do you just deserve this? Man, the water villas of Sandals Royal Caribbean Resort in Montego Bay, Jamaica are the ultimate paradise. There's even a glass floor in the bedroom so you can look into the underwater world from BED. Each villa has an infinity pool on the terrace, a hammock hanging over the ocean, a separate sun terrace at sea level, and a private butler. Sigh.

2. It can also be: sleeping in a windmill

A bit friendlier for the wallet is staying in a windmill on the Greek island of Santorini. The island is already known for its characteristic windmills, and one of those towers has now been transformed into a luxurious holiday residence with a private pool where you can stay with five people. What do you mean, on top of the world?

3. Stay like at Hogwarts

Also caught up in the Harry Potter mania? I get it, with the latest movie on the agenda. You can immerse yourself in the world of the wizard at the Georgian House Hotel in the center of London. Here, some rooms are decorated in the style of wizarding school Hogwarts. Complete with stained glass windows, trunk suitcases, cauldrons, velvet curtains, you name it. Expecto Patronum!

4. In the clock tower of St. Pancras

And if you're in London, you can end your trip nicely with an overnight stay in the clock tower of St. Pancras International station. Once there was a hotel here that closed its doors in 1935. Recently, you can stay again in an apartment that is no less than ten meters high, offering two bedrooms, a bathroom, a living room, and a kitchen.

5. Uh, floating on a rock wall at 300 meters high

Adventurous by nature? Oh, then I'm going to make you so happy with this craziness. In Peru, you can stay in the Skylodge Adventure Suites. These three glass capsules hang on the mountain wall in the Sacred Valley at about 300 meters high and together form a million-star hotel.

6. Treehouse among the palm leaves

This is definitely every traveler's wet dream. Sleeping among the palm leaves right on the beach with a f*cking palm tree on your own terrace. This happens at the Mexican Playa Viva resort in Ixtapa. And from the hut, you have a view of the Pacific Ocean and can see baby turtles walking on the beach. I think I'm short-circuiting now. Spasm. Pulling. Behind. My. Laptop.

7. Stargazing 2.0

If you suffer from claustrophobia, maybe not so great, but otherwise the ‘bubbles’ in the French countryside at Bubble Hotel Attrap’Rêves are totally the shit. No hassle with setting up a tent, just hop into your bubble and gaze at the stars with your love in the evening.
