7X HOW FUNNY WAS GEORGE CLOONEY AT RTL LATE NIGHT
What we have been enjoying here in the editorial office from George Clooney's appearance at RTL Late Night. That the best man is wildly attractive was known, but he also turns out to be particularly funny. Have you not seen it back yet? Shame on you, do it right away. And for these reasons:
1. George is jolly
Humberto: “What are you going to do with the one and a half million that the Postcode Lottery makes available for your charity?” George: “Oh, you know. What we always do. Buy a shitload of drinks.”
2. George loves wine. Lots of wine
When Humberto says: “By the way, I have something else for you…”, he laughs and replies: “More wine?” George, if you are still in Amsterdam, we have a few nice bottles lying around. We are all alcohol-free anyway, so you can have everything. Provided you drink it here. That's just how we are.
3. He also sees the humor in his sheep hairstyle from the ’80s
“It’s a miracle that I even got a career when you see that hairstyle like this.”
4. George's father is also funny
George and his father (who still looks disturbingly good for his age) were once handcuffed together. George: “I called him and said I was going to the Sudanese embassy in Washington to protest. ‘Are we going to get arrested then?’, was the first thing he asked. ‘Yes, I think so’, I replied. ‘Yes, then I’m coming with you.’”
5. The big dream of the sick Antje comes true
Every time Antje (who suffers from the incurable CIIP, a disorder of the gastrointestinal tract) goes under anesthesia, she says: “I’m going to have a little chat with George Clooney.” That was really the case for the first time yesterday, because George and she went to smell coffee (Antje can't drink, you see). I normally don't like disaster tourism or winning sympathy votes on TV, but this really moved me.
6. He talks so sweetly about ‘his’ Amal
“I’m so lucky every day that I can call her my wife. And she doesn’t always have it easy, you know, at first she had to get used to the sudden star status. Then she wanted to take a walk in Central Park and I had to tell her that that wasn’t possible without 30 people following her. But now she handles it like a real pro.”
7. George makes Humberto shy
Who wouldn’t blush from a compliment from Mr. Clooney himself? George is very impressed with Humberto's interview skills and emphasizes that. “I’ve been interviewed thousands of times, you really do it very well.” So, take a quick look back and hands up for Humberto.
