I can always be persuaded for a detox,cure, challenge or whatever. So on Monday I will start with oil pulling. For 30 days, every day for 20 minutes (TWENTY MINUTES!) oil pulling, which means taking a big, spoonful of coconut oil and swishing it around in your mouth for 20 minutes. Just like you swish water in your mouth while brushing your teeth. It is a bit of a task, but in principle, you can just continue doing the things you want to do. Without talking, of course. The idea is to do it first thing in the morning after you get up. Now my boyfriend gets a bit hysterical when I start singing in the morning or want to chat a bit, he mainly wants peace in the morning, so he will probably be happy with this challenge. Why is oil pulling good for you and what does it do? I will tell you what 'they' say and I will let you know what I think about it in a month. Are you joining me? It promises a lot of good things, namely detoxifying waste, a faster metabolism, healthier gums, less plaque, radiant white teeth, more energy, fewer ailments, skin improvement, better sleep, migraine and/or headaches decrease, better functioning of your intestines, reduction of stomach complaints, and lower blood pressure. Well, that sounds amazing.
During oil pulling (so swishing with coconut oil), the oil absorbs all the bacteria from your mouth and then you spit it out. After 30 days, your gums will be so sparkling clean that you will spit out all the bacteria straight away. A complete cleansing of the body, then. Well, we shall see!.
