AAAHH SO THIS IS WHY YOU YAWN SO MUCH IN THE GYM

You stand in the gym and suddenly you can't stop yawning. What is that? Not weird at all, girlfriend. You're not alone. Yawning while exercising doesn't mean you find it boring or that you're bored. And it certainly doesn't mean you should just go to bed or head to the bar. Yawning while exercising is completely normal.

It's well known that we yawn most often when waking up and before going to sleep. And we also know that we tend to open our mouths when we see a yawning neighbor. But why we actually yawn, no one has found an answer to that yet.

Yawning while exercising is completely normal.

What is new to me is the fact that we yawn more in winter than in summer. And yawning is often accompanied by exertion. In fact, psychologist Andrew Gallup says we yawn to keep our brains at the right temperature. When the temperature in your brain rises due to intense training, you start to sweat (sometimes in places you didn't know you could sweat). Because you sweat, your body gets the chance to cool down. Yawning improves your heart rate and blood flow, which regulates the temperature in the brain. The cold air that comes in while yawning brings the brain back to the right temperature.

Now I have the answer to the question of why the spinning lady in row 1 kept her mouth open... And I thought my classes were boring.
