ARE YOU JUST LIKE ME A GOURMET WITH BINGE EATING?
Ho. Stop. This is what you do about it:
Ironically, I'm just spooning Ben & Jerry's ice cream again while typing this. It's all Jet's fault. She suddenly said there was still a bit in the editorial freezer and then I short-circuited again. Why are you telling me this, Jettie? You know I have to eat it all then?
“Just take a little bit,” she says. No way, that's not how it works for addiction-sensitive people with bottom drift. Just read here for a moment. The chips, cookies, and chocolates are pretty much consumed on autopilot by binge eaters. Do you recognize this feeling? Acknowledgment is step 1. What do you do about it? At this point, I come to the rescue with my fire truck because I know the feeling like no one else. .

– Investigate what triggers the binge. Is there something that makes you want to eat away your feelings? Is it frustration, stress, your sugar cravings, loneliness, or pure boredom? Once you figure out what it is, there might be other solutions. Okay, I've figured it out: it's the heat and that's why I need ICE. .
– Look up photos of people who couldn't control themselves so much that they can't get out of bed or no longer fit in an airplane seat. And that's why they can't go on vacation this summer. Oh dear, the terror. Always works for me. Away with the ice. .
– Or just look up on Insta #fitgirl.
– Then you'll forget about eating that whole tub. .
– Grab a piece of gum or brush your teeth. .
– Make it discussable. Regularly, the tastiest cakes are baked and delivered here, and I shout in the group that everyone must prevent me from eating more than this small piece. And then I don't even dare to look at that cake anymore. Peer pressure works. .
– Don't grab a bag of chips, tub of ice cream, or box of cookies, but put a small portion in a bowl and hide the rest. Or throw it away if necessary. Such a waste. Haha. .
– I won't name names, but I know someone who had to pour dish soap over her trash can so she wouldn't find that discarded chocolate in a weak moment. What self-awareness. .
– Drink a glass of water and eat a bowl of yogurt. You'll feel full and then you'll forget about that binge kick. .
– Make sure you have enough sleep. A lack of sleep increases hunger during the day. Make sure you sleep enough and especially regularly. .
– Take a pen and paper and try to write down the moments when you have a binge. This can help you tackle the B&J moment next time. .
– Eat something before you go grocery shopping. The chance that you'll buy unhealthy snacks is a trillion times smaller. And what isn't there, you can't eat either. Sometimes it's that simple, people. .
