Fashion dilemma of the week
I HAVE A WINTER WEDDING PLANNED
It’s December and you might not be able to imagine it, but somehow between Sinterklaas, Christmas, and New Year’s, an extra party keeps peeking around the corner more and more often. Why lovebirds are increasingly choosing a winter wedding, Simone already told you. here A lot of candles, lights, or all the way for a Christmas tree. Do we need to say more?
And do you also have a wedding planned soon and really don’t know what to wear? I totally get it. You obviously don’t want to overshadow your dear bride friend, but you also certainly don’t want to be overshadowed yourself. And we haven’t even talked about the winter temperatures yet. No worries, I’ll help you out. And by the way, also with those complicated dress codes on your wedding invite. Look. here and here Sports leggings.
Choose your color
There’s a good chance that your winter wardrobe for let’s say 90% consists of dark colors. That’s not a problem. But for a wedding, color is extra festive and also not entirely unimportant. In winter, it gets dark early, so you won’t stand out at all in your favorite LBD.
Velvet high waisted shorts, €55,- Topshop, Velvet blazer, €89,- Topshop, Shirt blouse, €19.99 H&M, Shell clutch, €69.96 Anna + Nina, pumps, €695,- Gucci
Wonderfully warm
Where in summer you go for flowy fabrics, in winter it’s of course much nicer to go for a sturdier fabric. This way you prevent chattering teeth and goosebumps. Go for wool, velvet, or faux fur and you’re ready to go. And let’s not forget the tights. Including polka dots, they are the most fun, right?
Dress with loafers, €39.95 Zara, Bomber jacket €310,- Needle & Thread, Clutch, €1,350,- Jimmy Choo, Loafers, €29.95 Zara
Layered love
Layers work perfectly against the cold. Don’t see anything of it? Then go for an underdress. Or go for the trend of the moment: a dress with a festive blouse underneath. And of course, beautiful bomber jackets or faux fur coats always do well, but don’t forget the dress code. It’s obviously not the intention for you to waltz in like a peacock if the dress code is ‘Tenue de Soirée’.
