Sexy vrijdag

Just a bit about last week…

Then I wrote a post about what men would find attractive in women according to scientific research. Read here it for a moment. I saw it pop up on a site and thought: wow, interesting, that's nice for Sexy Friday. But while writing, I actually found it not so nice anymore.

For practical reasons, it couldn't really become another topic, so I published it anyway, but I did write underneath that “you shouldn't care at all about what men find attractive or not. As long as you find yourself attractive. Thank you.” And actually, that sentence is the only one in the whole piece that I stand behind.

You know what it is? It makes me dead tired to have to do what men find attractive or not. Does it interest me what the average man would fall for? Moreover, they were all pretty much open doors, so it added exactly nothing. Wide hips, shiny hair, cheerful smile – yeah duh.

”Does it interest me what the average man would fall for.”

I have often written something about clothing items that men do or do not like, but I find that stupid now. I think it's much more important that you like it and that you feel good about it, not what the man thinks. Moreover, I find it hopelessly outdated to just bend to the wishes and desires of a man. As if they care about what we think of them. Come on. If that were the case, they wouldn't have been wearing flip-flops or super tight skinny jeans for a long time. Not to mention those ridiculous suspenders that are now hip among hipsters.

Women are already driven crazy enough with things they should or shouldn't do, and I hereby promise you that I will try not to feel guilty about that anymore. So just be yourself and go do your thing and such, hou van je leven, hou van je werk, be blessed and more of that. That is truly sexy.
