THE BEAUTY SECRETS OF THE KARDASHIANS

all tips from Rob Scheppy in one place

I browse quite a few sites every day and I do come across some interesting beauty posts. So yes, when there is an interview with Rob Scheppy, the man behind the looks of the Kardashian clan, I am of course glued to my screen. A flawless skin, a master in shaping, perfectly trimmed eyebrows, and the healthiest glow he conjures up from his makeup kit. Yes, Rob knows how to create a photo-ready makeup and he laid out his secrets.

Care

Rob mentioned that the Jenners are his easiest clients. Kendall and Kylie takes very good care of her skin, so he doesn't have to do much there. “They are so glamorous that they sometimes indulge in a facial or something else. They just place a lot of value on their skin and that pays off. In the past, it was really different with clients. They didn't know all of that yet and didn't realize how important the skin is for a good look.”

Prep products

“I really like a good old-fashioned clay mask. One of those old-fashioned ones that takes a long time to dry. Yet not many people take the time for it, while it really does wonders.”

The brushes

Brushes are extremely important for good makeup, and there are a few brushes that Rob always uses. He always uses the Tweezerman brushes because they have synthetic fibers that are so soft and luxurious that they really feel like gold on the skin. “For shaping, you definitely need a good blush brush. Furthermore, a foundation brush and a sponge are quite important to blend everything well and apply it streak-free. Especially when it comes to streaks and spots around your nose, a round sponge is quite a must.”

Dream clients

“The Kardashian-Jenners are my dream clients because they genetically have good skin and are very eager to try new looks and trends. Kendall, for example, is a very minimalist girl, but now and then she definitely tries something new, which makes it all very exciting. Both in fashion and beauty, the girls really have a good balance in trends and what suits them well. Of course, they all have adventurous moments, but when they are filmed, they all want to have the most beautiful look ever.”

The best makeup brands

“I think Eyeko, Charlotte Tilbury, Illamasqua, Ciate, and many more British brands are really fantastic. Oh, and Jo Malone. But I still have a soft spot for brands that have actually disappeared or products that they secretly took off the shelf. I would love to have those back. For example, I would really like the Designer Shaping Cream from Giorgio Armani to come back. Kim made me addicted to it, but now it's gone! And ten years ago, Versace had a makeup line, and it was brilliant. I would love for that to come back!‘
