Beauty launches that I am really looking forward to

THIS IS WHAT 2016 WILL BRING US

Yesterday I already shared some highlights from the world of beauty from last year. That sets the bar quite high for next year, as it doesn't seem like it can get much more exciting. And although all beauty brands are still being quite secretive about 2016 (professional secrecy, you know), I can already reveal five little things that I am really, really looking forward to. It might take a while, but I think that bar is going to be quite high.

Ellie Goulding X M.A.C Cosmetics

I wasn't in London for nothing last September. I got to interview Ellie Goulding who has released a collection with M.A.C Cosmetics. Until now, I had to keep that a closely guarded secret, but I can tell you that there is an amazing eyeshadow palette, the perfect mascara, and lipstick colors that will conquer any party. It will be in stores in February, and then I will also reveal all of Ellie’s beauty secrets to you.

Charlotte Olympia X M.A.C Cosmetics

We stay in the realms of M.A.C Cosmetics. Because after Ellie, I moved a chair over to Charlotte Olympia, who has also designed a collection with M.A.C Cosmetics. And being the queen of shoes promises a lot of nice and exciting things. It will be released a month later, in March, and I can tell you that it is a really cool collection with a nod to the world of pin-up girls from old Hollywood. Red lips included.

Charlotte Tilbury at Bijenkorf

Let’s move on to the next makeup queen Charlotte Tilbury. You know; the makeup master of Kim Kardashian and Jennifer Lopez. Last week, my lovely intern Tessa got to sit in her makeup chair, and starting next May, we can all do that. I mean sitting in that chair with her products, you know. Because then there will be a huge line of her favorite items available at Bijenkorf in Amsterdam.

Christmas collections

This Christmas isn't even over yet, and I'm already looking forward to the next one. But seriously. At Christmas, truly beautiful collections are always presented. CHANEL brings out the best from its stable, Dior always manages to surprise us with a bit of sparkle and shine, and Guerlain follows closely behind. Often these collections are presented as early as September, so practically speaking, it’s just half a year of waiting until the next Christmas begins.

Jo Malone fragrance

I am looking forward to a lot. Actually, to a whole lot, but there are some things I just can't reveal yet. One thing I can share is that Jo Malone a fragrance collection will be presented inspired by the vegetable garden. Sounds all very exciting, because I have never sprayed myself with the scent of zucchinis, strawberries, and basil, but I have already had a little sniff and now I just want to live in that herb garden. The herb garden of Jo Malone, I mean. That I can say. I am looking forward to March.
