THIS IS HOW YOU SHAKE OFF YOUR WINTER COAT IN SEVEN STEPS READY FOR SUMMER
Now is the time for it
It's been nice weather for a week and it seems to stay that way for a while, so it's time to really shake off that winter coat and let the sun rays touch your body. Take a couple of hours for it, because getting caught with a unpainted foot or a hairy leg is not done from now on. So think about it now, then you'll have a little less stress when you slide your bare foot into a shoe and push your nose into the sun.
1. Scrub the winter away
All skin cells are nicely packed and therefore there is a second layer on your skin. If you want to get tanned and have a radiant glowing skin, you need to get rid of that first. Scrubbing So. Take a mild scrub for your face and a coarser one for your body. And don't just rub it on, but really go for the Turkish hamam way (so scrub hard for minutes). You might be a little red for a few minutes, but afterwards you will definitely have baby-soft skin.
2. Shaving
You don't want to see a hair and no stubble is welcome. So shaving is the second step. Scrubbing is also good for shaving, because it loosens the hairs a bit from the skin and you get everything off much smoother (and longer).
3. Getting tanned
We understand that you don't want to lie on the beach looking pale. To make the transition for yourself and the contrast with your fellow beachgoers a little less stark, you can of course start using a self-tanner. A spray gives the most even result without turning you into an Oompa Loompa.

4. Gel polish
Your toenails can definitely have some color. In fact, that's a huge must. Now you certainly don't want chipped nail polish or nail polish that becomes very sticky in the sun, which it quickly does. You'd better prevent that. With gel polish, you're set for two weeks with beautiful nails and that really won't go anywhere in the sun.
5. Do the brows
Your makeup can really go in all directions in the summer, so you might as well pay attention to one good point on your face. Make sure you have good eyebrows, because that gives you a striking face. Then whatever happens with your makeup, the eyebrows will always be the holy focal point.
6. Happy hair
Due to sunlight and vitamin D, your hair grows a lot faster (long live the long summer locks), but it can also feel like a bunch of straw. Get your hair trimmed well and use a nice mask. Then your locks will be very healthy.
7. Moisturizing
An obvious one, but moisturizing really ensures that you go into summer happy. Body lotion keeps everything nice and supple, an oil often gives a chic shine, and sunscreen seems to me no luxury at all. And maybe it's a bit tiring to grab the sunscreen and give your legs a coat at twenty degrees or more, but later you'll be grateful for it. And in the moment too. Because there is really no question of wrinkled skin.
