THIS IS WHAT A BALANCE DAY CAN LOOK LIKE

Thanks to the balance days that you can also let loose without worries and go wild. At least, I really believe in having a day to “take it a bit easy” if you went a bit too far the night before. That compensates everything. Handy for on Monday after a party weekend.

A balance day doesn't mean you have to eat suuuper little and spend the day hungry. No. Just take the same amounts as you normally eat, but the choice of what you eat is now important. And I'm not saying you have to eat fat vegan or anything. It's obvious that it's handy to skip cake and candy for a day, I don't need to explain that to you, right?

An example of a balance day:

Morning

A vegetable smoothie.

Open your vegetable drawer and grab from your fruit basket. Mix that together with water and flaxseed in a blender.

Snack

Raw vegetables with a hummus dip.

Afternoon

Make a well-filled salad for yourself, mainly consisting of vegetables.

So lots of greens: avocado, fennel, cucumber, tomato, and pomegranate seeds. Make a dressing of balsamic vinegar and olive oil.

Snack

A boiled egg.

Dinner

Grilled or poached fish with sautéed spinach or pasta with zucchini noodles with tomato sauce, basil, and pine nuts.

Oh yes: on a balance day, it's also the intention that you exercise. So put on your gym shoes and drag yourself to the gym or the nearby park.
