I get the question regularly. On Instagram, in real life, and even over email. Where I buy my A-line skirts. Whether they are still in stores. And if I have tips on which shops you can buy similar items.
Well, dear people, I certainly have those. And let me immediately explain my love for the A-line skirt. You see, I was born with thighs (hello, who isn't) but I'm talking about real thighs here. And calves. And I've tried EVERYTHING to make those legs smaller: Sonja Bakker, The Hospital Diet, Dr. Frank, exercising like a fool, the-eat-half-of-what-you-normally-eat diet, read here my diet struggles for a moment. It didn't help. It took me over 24 years, but I have now accepted that this is my build and that this will never change. It could have. But then I would have to slurp only liquid food for the coming year and I really do thank you kindly for that.
So instead of whining and complaining about your body, you can also accept that this is it, be happy with the fact that you weren't born with a fungal disease on your face (it exists) and just see which clothes look good on your figure and anticipate that. Because you see, I may be less happy with my legs, but I do have a flat belly and a wasp waist, where that skirt can fit a bit tighter.

Okay, I admit: this skirt from Maje has a bit of a sugar-spine effect, but it is also very cute. And also quite on sale (from 175 to 70 euros).
I can really see myself wearing this stunner from L.K. Bennett at a wedding. Love it. You do pay 345 euros for it, but then you also have a FABRIC that you can talk about.
Just for this color blue, this lovely thing from Warehouse must go in my shopping cart. Also nice: discounted from 72 to 52 euros.
