YOU CAN DO ALL THIS WITH LEMON

For example, making ice cream

It’s blooooody hot, so the jugs with water, lemon, and mint are flying off the shelves in the editorial office. Speaking of lemon, you can do so much fun stuff with it. Especially with this sultry summer, I find lemon quite appropriate. It’s not for nothing: when life gives you lemons… And this is everything you can do with it. And it’s not just about eating or drinking.

– Here, opinions among foodie bloggers are sometimes divided, but I think a glass of pure lemon juice in the morning is a great start to the day. It gives you a nice pick-me-up and I notice that it works for me for good digestion.

– Put some lemon juice in an ice cube tray and freeze it. Fun and tasty for a jug of water during dinner.

– It’s not the best for your hair, but lemon juice helps achieve a beach blonde effect. Go ahead, smear lemon juice through your locks and sit in the sun. By the way, be careful with lemon juice in combination with the sun and your skin. I once sat on a tropical island where some juice accidentally dripped on my leg and then bam, my skin burned immediately. With peeling included, and now I have a nice scar from it.

– I find cleaning the bathroom a terrible chore, but with lemon juice, you can clean your showerhead really well. Especially when a weak stream comes out, lemon juice ensures that all the holes open up again and the limescale goes away.

– Another household tip: if your fridge doesn’t smell fresh, put half a lemon in a bowl in your fridge and the odors will be gone in no time.

– You can also make delicious lemonade. Just dilute some agave syrup with water, add a mountain of ice cubes, and you’re done. Add lemon slices and a sprig of mint, a fun straw, and you have a lovely summer drink.

– And lastly, what May did: this clutch buy...

– No wait, the very last one, namely: MAKE LEMON ICE CREAM! Here’s how you do it:

Here’s what you need:

150 ml lemon juice

3 generous tablespoons

honey

350 ml water

Here’s how to make it:

Wash the lemons well, grate the peel off, and then squeeze out the juice. Put the zest (not the juice!) in a saucepan with the water and honey. Bring to a boil for 3 minutes and then let it cool completely. Then pour in the juice and stir well. Pour into a plastic container and let it freeze for at least 4 hours. Or you can use an ice cream maker, of course. If the ice comes out of the freezer very hard, put the ice in the blender and then distribute it over containers.
