Your kitchen cabinet as a beauty store
7 PRODUCTS YOU DIDN'T KNOW WERE GOOD FOR THE SKIN
I actually never have to worry about empty jars of creams or tubes that I have to cut open to get another dab out, because the next one is just waiting for me. I know: luxury cat. I know that all too well. But if I go stay overnight somewhere or take a few weeks off, then all of the above suddenly doesn't apply because I just forget half of it. Is this last part recognizable or are you not in a luxury position; you can actually find some products in your fridge or kitchen cabinetthat are good for the skin.
1. Honey
What for? Against dry skin.
Why? Honey works extremely nourishing and the cream will therefore work deeper and deeper. The moisture penetrates very deeply into the skin cells.
How? Just a little bit of cream left? Add a drop of honey and the cream is spreadable again.
2. Greek Yogurt
What for? To combat clogged skin.
Why? The lactic acid in Greek yogurt can really work wonders. The fatty yogurt ensures that your skin is hydrated and will reduce deeply rooted and filled pores.
How? Use the yogurt as a mask. 10 minutes, and you'll really benefit from it. Afterwards, of course, rinse very well with water, because you don't want any hassle or trouble from it.
3. Champagne
What for? A tight and fresh skin and glow. Well, you wouldn't say it.
Why? Because of champagne is full of vitamins C and E from the grapes and that works well as an anti-aging agent. You'll see that the skin tightens and has a much fresher appearance.
How? Yes, obviously drink a glass. I certainly wouldn't recommend doing that every morning, but now and then it really can't hurt.
4. Orange peels
What for? To get whiter teeth.
Why? The acid from an orange removes plaque and scrubs away spots.
How? With a orange peel little scrubbing over the teeth. Just be careful to rinse well afterwards, because if you do it too long or too much, those fruit acids can also damage your teeth and that doesn't seem to be the intention.
5. Baking soda
What for? I find this very funny. But well, with baking soda, you let your hair shine again.
Why? There are substances in baking soda that combat dullness and provide a shiny edge.
How? It doesn't mean you have to dip your whole hair in the baking soda. Adding a little powder to your shampoo does wonders, as long as you don't do it too often. But of course, that applies to washing your hair in general.
6. Coconut oil
What for? To remove your makeup in one swipe.
Why? Coconut oil is of course very gentle and it's pure nature. It remains somewhat oily by nature, and therefore you can easily remove makeup with it.
How? Put a little on a cotton pad, gently swipe, and voilà; the makeup has disappeared like snow in the sun.
7. Oats
What for? If you have sensitive skin that you want to soothe.
Why? Oats is a natural product and can't do much harm. In fact, it's a very gentle product that calms the skin.
How? Mix the oats with facial cleanser and massage this onto your face. With a little water, you can make it foam a bit more, which really provides a deep cleansing.
