Amayzine goes Milano
And here Kiek and Lil are looking forward to during Fashion Week
So, you thought it was over after Elki’s and Simone’s London adventure finito e basta? I don't think so, finito e pasta rather. Lilian and I are next in line to conquer the fashion circus called Fashion Week. Our destination? Milan.
We fly early tomorrow morning and goddammit, we are so excited about this. I've only been to Milan once before and that trip totally (literally) went down the drain because of the rain and I got lost about 28 times, and Lil is a Milan virgin, so we are more than open to a blast of a Milano experience. And, looking at the company, the hotel, and our fashion schedule, I think it’s all going to be just fine. What’s already wagging its tail faster?
Hotel Senato Milano
It was him, it wasn’t him, and then it was again. In the end, Lil and I squealed over the phone when it turned out there was still a room available. Senato Milano is already winning the award for the prettiest face of the year. That lobby is INSTAGRAMMABLE, unreal. You’ll find out soon.
“Well, Fashion Week, it is a tough job.”
The chaos surrounding Gucci
Okay, with chaos, a my-god-I-want-to-be-there feeling might not bubble up quickly. I get it. But Gucci is kind of the holy benchmark of Fashion Week in Milan and that chaos is more than hysterically worth it. Tomorrow afternoon at 3:00 PM it all happens. Keep
you posted.
Backstage with MAC
Through our lovely friends from MAC we get to peek backstage at the shows of Emilio Pucci and Blugirl. A bit of model spotting, making backstage videos, spotting the latest makeup trends, what do you mean; excited?
The pizzas at Paper Moon
May made a Milan for beginners list (god, so sweet) for us and I just read something about a pizzeria that Janet Jackson also goes to and we just saw that it’s FIVE minutes walking from our hotel. Employees of Paper Moon, heat that stone oven up already, I would say. #YouHadMeAtTheWordPizza
The show of Max Mara
The Italian fashion house is always elegant and current. Known for its sleek shapes and luxurious materials. Thursday morning at half past nine it’s on the schedule. I would say: especially keep an eye on our social media accounts. Saves you a ticket to Milan, and probably the red-light district, and you can still go front row and backstage with us. We find it cozy.
Well, Fashion Week, it is a tough job, but someone has to do it, right? Milaahaan, we’re coming aahaaaan!
