A night by the sea

Does wonders for your skin

If you ever find yourself in the world I work in and then also receive an invitation from Coty, you just know that something intensely fun is waiting for you. May flew with them to Cape Town last year, Josselin was found in the Veluwe, and me? I got to spend a night with Coty in Noordwijk in collaboration with Philosophy. Just in case it wasn't clear yet, I (and Kiek, and Simoon, and Lil) really have the most fun jobs Since September 13, I have blocked Sunday evenings for season 4 and the fact that we bought a new TV this weekend is not entirely coincidental.

It was early March when May asked me if I would possibly like to stay overnight in Noordwijk at the end of the month, and I could also invite my mother. Look, I never say no to a ‘staycay’ (especially one where I could invite my mother so she could see what exactly I do for work), but also add Philosophy as an ingredient and then you have me exactly where you want me.

‘Philosophy has thus become my savior
in need’

For someone who struggles with an restless skin, Philosophy is a gift. The past two years (actually since the moment I moved to Amsterdam) a lot has been going on in my life that has translated into restless skin. Annoying, because you already don't feel good in your skin, and when your skin starts to work against you, you are anything but happy.

Philosophy has thus become my savior in need. Facial peels are something I have never really delved into, but my skin has developed a huge need for it. Fatigue, impurities, skin aging – everything is being addressed.

Now my goal is to dare to go out all summer without a dab of foundation on my face. Plan of attack? Adjust my beauty ritual so that my skin will look radiant and I am going to do that now using The Microdelivery Peel Kit from Philosophy (you can just find it at ICI Paris XL, no worries). It's nice and easy to use (it's just two steps, so yes, easy) and makes your skin stronger, younger, and smoother. After such a peel, your skin feels wonderfully soft right away, but be careful and really don't use it more than once a week, because an overdose is actually very bad for your skin.
Mix it during the week with a daily face wash and you'll feel happier in your own skin. At least, that's the plan for me and of course, I'll keep you updated.

And uh, of course, I know that a healthy skin doesn't just come from products for the outside. Let's not forget to eat healthy as well. Luckily, I have the lady next to whom I always sit in the office to teach me the do's and don'ts (hi, Simoon!).
