BEAUTY BALANCE BOOST

And here is the update

Do you remember that email from Tom Sebastian in my inbox? Monday was THE day to start with beauty, balance, and a boost. Quite a thing, when you start your new job in the same week. But maybe it's actually good to reset every now and then? And that I don't lie awake analyzing the workday until three in the morning? I started boosting, with the help of Tom. And I really needed that a bit.

Day 1

Tom's post on Monday started with a gift (I love that): make an hour for yourself every day this week. Aaah, my mind immediately started racing, because do I even have time for this, guys? I spend three hours a day in the car, I'm at the editorial office, and in the evening I still have to... Yes, of course you have that, and otherwise, you just make time (that's how I talk to myself, no worries). And whether I wanted to schedule a bit of me-time for weeks two and three right away. Easy peasy, in the form of serious sale shopping on Saturday in Antwerp. Yes, I just find shopping an über-relaxing me-time activity.

I scrolled through his daily mail and got quite a reality check in the form of a question. Were the things that kept me awake a few weeks ago maybe already solved by themselves? Uuuuh, busted. But really, a huge YES SOLVED. The lesson was that worrying about everything is pointless. Well, if you know, those are big things we solve here.

“Monday was THE day to start with beauty, balance, and a boost.”

Day 2

The day I dreaded, because now the detox is peeking around the corner. I find detoxing difficult. I always look with a bit of jealousy at the detox juice girls. Here's the thing: if I don't eat solid food, I become a monster. Yes, really. Secretly training my abs and drinking lots of water, I can manage. The tips to refresh your makeup, done. A detox? Okay, okay, I'll try it. And Tom's is easy, because you do it with a supplement. Oh yes, and a red lipstick, chin up, and heels by the way. That's a recipe for radiating success.

Day 3

Because I received that challenge yesterday. My prettiest dress had to come out of the closet and shine. That was quite a thing, because I was already in my worn-out sweatpants, makeup-free, and with uncombed hair behind the laptop (something about working from home). But today it worked, you know. The dress stayed on the hanger, I'm a pants girl, but the velvet top and high-waisted trousers could come along to the editorial office. Hey, I really believe I can do this.

Day 4

I just see that I need to study my eyes, so bye. Let me know next week, together with Tom Sebastian, how to keep that nice vibe going in 2017.
