EVERYTHING YOU WANT TO KNOW ABOUT THE NEW SEASON OF PRISON BREAK
Holy crêpe, it's really about to happen now. After a lot of speculation, Dominic Purcell (you know, sexy Burrows) dropped a photo on Insta about a new return of the series. If you Prison Break haven't seen it yet (you should be very ashamed now), then now is the time to binge the other four seasons, because it's already March and you need to be ready for this grande spectacle.
Anyway, what can we all expect?
Michael Scofield rises from the dead in 2017
At the end of season four, our favorite boy seems to be dead, but miraculously that's not the case and now it turns out he's just stuck again. Goodness, Good times, Bad times has nothing on this.
His old buddies are back in action
Lincoln Burrows, Sara Tancredi, Fernando Sucre, C-Note, and T-Bag are all working together this time to free Scofield, yiiihaaa! A character that had to bow out is Alexander Mahone. The writers honestly didn't know how to incorporate the difficult character into the series any longer.
The story takes place in Yemen, Morocco
Wow, we all thought Scofield was dead, right? Well, not so. Mr. was working for a terrorist organization in the meantime (that sweetheart suddenly turns out to have a dark side) and when he wanted to step away from it, they threw him in jail in Yemen. The worst prison on earth, according to the writers. “The first season was heavy, but this is real heavy shit.” Even ISIS is mentioned to give the story a current twist.
‘Don't expect a sweet reunion between Sara and Scofield right away’
Burrows got pretty heavily injured during filming
An iron rod accidentally hit him hard in the face. To avoid delays during filming, they ultimately incorporated his injury into the script. What a tough guy.
Say whuuuuut: Sara is married in the new series
Her love is the new character Scott Ness. Because yes, Dr. Tancredi moved on with her life and of course didn't know that Michael was still alive. So don't expect a sweet reunion between her and Scofield right away. Such a shame.
The miniseries consists of 9 episodes
It was originally 10, but we all know that odd numbers perform better. The series is broadcast on Fox, by the way. Cry cry, because no Netflix so (although there are hints that it might happen later). But we're not going to wait for that, so Fox it is.
Michael, my boy, I'm already ready for it!
