72 hours married

to Kim Kardashian

This is what it looks like

Alright alright, we know that this lady has been happily married to her hubby Kanye West for years, and it has now also been announced that the duo is currently seeing the well-known self-help guru Tony Robbins after a tough year. (Had you seen this already?) But oh well, it’s still fun to talk about the bizarre things from her past. Like being married for 72 days to basketball player Kris Humphries, which we could all follow closely on television. Was it true love or does Kim really do everything for the ratings? Here’s a pretty substantial list of figures, because when Kim does something, she does it well, right? The words ‘small’ and ‘intimate’ are not in her dictionary, so here are the craziest facts about her short-lived marriage to Kris:

– There were only 90 days between Kris and Kim's engagement. It is said that Kim wanted to get married as soon as possible so she would still look young in her wedding photos.

– But it turns out that Kris and Kim had never spent a full week together before they got married.

– Once they moved in together after the wedding, Kim immediately knew he was ‘not the one’. Oops, yes, you should have lived together first. That would have saved you a lot of money, Kim.

– During the ceremony, one of the guests heard younger sister Khloé say:

‘I give it six months.’ Well Khloé, even less. Ha.

– When Kanye West heard the news that Kim was getting married (they had been friends for a few years), he tried to convince her not to go through with it.

In an episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, he even admits that he was forced to buy his very first mobile phone to reach her (how the hell did you live so long without one, Kanye?).

– Speaking of Kanye; here a tribute to the most romantic man on earth.

– And that engagement ring on her finger cost a modest two million dollars.

‘small’ and ‘intimate’ are not in her dictionary

– Once it became known that Kim was getting married, designers lined up to create a wedding dress for her. She ultimately chose the queen of wedding dresses, Vera Wang, for whom she had not one, but three dresses made.

– The total cost for all three dresses was only sixty thousand dollars. And I say ‘only’ because I would have expected a higher amount from chic kitty (May always pronounces this with a French accent, really hilarious) Kimmie K.

– The price tag for all her jewelry was around forty thousand dollars, in case you were wondering.

– The number of guests present at the ‘I do’? Over four hundred. Can you imagine having to speak to four hundred people? That’s practically a full-time job.

– And four hundred people also means a lot of gifts. Seventy thousand dollars worth of gifts, to be precise. The most expensive of all was a vase costing nearly eight thousand dollars and the cheapest was a clock of ‘only’ eleven hundred dollars.

– You would think that a two million dollar engagement ring would be enough, but her wedding ring also cost two hundred thousand dollars.

– Then there’s also the number of cameras needed to get this perfectly on our screens. There were a total of nine. There were over 10.5 million viewers when it aired.

– That this wedding was expensive is quite an understatement. But Kim didn’t have to worry too much about it, because she also made quite a bit of money from it. $175,000 from People Magazine for the announcement of the engagement, $1.1 million for the exclusive photos of the wedding, $90,000 for her bachelorette party in Las Vegas and $1 million from E! (the channel on which KUWTK is shown in America) for the broadcast of her wedding.

If you think this was a ridiculously expensive wedding, then you this probably haven’t seen it yet.
