Goodbye plaster:
this is how you make your makeup summerproof
Am I the only one who wears just twice as much makeup in winter to give that pale face an extra boost? God, I hope not. The case is now: that pale little face is screaming for sunlight. So it's time to say goodbye to winter makeup and switch to the clean stuff. How do you do that?
Nude is the new contouring
If you want to create a healthy blush, then sunlight on your face is a plus. So, eh, stop with those pancake layers that look downright embarrassing in the sun. And if you still want to pop, do it with your lips. You won't miss that foundation, bet?
Play with mascara
Always that jet black mascara? Bo-ring. Recently, the editorial team came in with brown mascara and it was so cool that I think we should all try it once. It looks less harsh and your natural beauty comes out much better.
Goodbye smokey eye
At least, in the black form. Because this summer we choose smokey eyes in sweet pastel colors. Lilac, soft pink, coral, and baby blue are the new statement colors for your eyes.
Foundation 2.0
Okay, okay, maybe you still find it a bit too intense to go outside completely bare-faced, but think about a tinted day cream or BB cream instead of foundation. I often use a concealer in the summer on the spots where needed in combination with a powder to combat shine.
Bye bye, matte lipstick
And I'm talking about the trend watchers, huh, who say that matte lips in 2017 are really a bit done. Just so we know. Those dried nude lips à la Kylie Jenner are making way this spring for shine all the way and water-colored lips with gloss. Already spotted on the catwalk at Chanel. Three guesses what I'm going to try out tomorrow...
