SHOPAHOLICS EAT YOUR HEART OUT: TOGETHER IN THE FITTING ROOMS

My number one irritation while shopping?  But only six (or worse: THREE) items allowed in the fitting room. It's always too few. Number 2? The lighting. Ai ai ai, if even your cellulite gets cellulite, then you know something is not quite right. Number 3? The fact that you can never go into the fitting rooms together with a friend. It's a bit embarrassing when you have to step out of those ridiculously busy fitting rooms to show her your look. I know, I know: first world problems all over.

But now. I have the best news of the day for you. At least, if you come from Utrecht or like to shop in my little city. The not-so-attractive Hoog Catharijne (you know, ‘the tumor’ of Utrecht) has been renovated. And so it's no longer a place you have to avoid because only homeless people hang out there. A part of Hoog Cattie (if it were up to me, they would keep renovating) has been transformed into a trendy shopping mall that makes my fashion heart beat faster. Last Thursday, the first part of Nieuw Hoog Catharijne was officially opened, along with the doors of the WE Fashion flagship store. And you should know: if there's a party in my city, I have to be there.

Okay, I'm rambling again. So I arrive there and behold one of the largest WE stores in Europe at 746 square meters. Where you – and here it comes – CAN TRY ON TOGETHER IN THE FITTING ROOM. Are you kidding me? My prayers have been answered. It's also called the ‘Better Together fitting room‘. A fitting room  specifically for women, where you can try on clothes together with your friend, sister, mom, or whoever. I'm talking about an XL fitting room, complete with an armchair, a large coat rack to hang your outfits on, and various props and signs with which you can criticize or praise each other's outfits. How. Fun. Is. This? Dear people, this is what Utrecht needed. And if you're looking for me this weekend; I'll be in the duo fitting room with my bestie. Yay!
