STILL JUST A LITTLE ABOUT DRAKE…
Drake draked my heart. I know that sentence doesn't make any sense, but here's the thing: I have a sweater that says ‘Don't Drake My Heart’ – of course, I bought it when Drake was still my great love, but that love is currently buried deep somewhere. after the sushi saga. Drake, you were just totally blem. I mean, you sing it yourself in your new song: ‘I’m blem for real, I might just say how I feel.’ Just to keep you all informed, blem means that you are totally stoned. And that whole food poisoning story of Drake after eating sushi is BS, because if you have that much money to spend, you obviously eat the very best sushi in Amsterdam. So Drake, admit it: you were just blem.
Fortunately, there are still plenty of other fish in the sea (that you won't get ‘food poisoning’ from). So goodbye Drake, yes, your music is nice, but you are also replaceable and now these are my current great loves on Spotify:
Frank Ocean
Frankie boy, I fell in love with him when his album ‘Channel Orange’ came out in 2012. ‘Pink Matter’, ‘Bad Religion’ and ‘Thinkin’ Bout You’ I have played I don't know how many times. The whole album actually. And then he made us wait four years for something new, but Frank did not disappoint. His album ‘Blonde’ was worth the wait. And believe me, maybe even better than ‘More Life’ by Drake.
Kendrick Lamar
He just happened to drop a new song called ‘Humble’ out of nowhere last week. Maybe a bit more on the hip-hop side, but just like Drake often with a touch of r&b. And you know what I think? I think that as soon as he comes out with a new album, it will zoom past ten billion streams of Drake on Spotify. Bye, Drake.
The Weeknd
I mean: can we talk about a Michael Jackson 2.0 minus all the crazy appearance changes? My goodness, ‘I Feel It Coming’ with Daft Punk (working with Daft Punk definitely increases your coolness factor by another hundred percent). And, if you're still looking for music for your sexytime playlist? This is your guy.
