The best Christmas episodes of series

So, are you already on the couch with a food baby from your Christmas brunch? Nice, I know what you can do to relax and what perfectly fits this holiday. Why not watch the very best Christmas episodes of your favorite series? I asked my FavorFlav colleague Emma, my music/series buddy at the editorial office, to help me create the best collection that will make you want to start the episodes right away. Prrrrrima activity for Christmas, don’t you think?

Friends – The One With The Holiday Armadillo

If you ever want to meet someone who knows everything (and I mean really everything) about Friends, you should reach out to Emma. From all the names of Joey's sisters to the size of Joey's shoes in the episode ‘The One After ‘I Do”; she knows it. A must-see Friends episode for Christmas is definitely the one with the Holiday Armadillo, where Ross wants to introduce his son Ben to his Jewish heritage in a very unique way.

The OC – The Best Chrismukkah Ever

I binged everything again last summer (read our suggestions here)? I'm meanwhile scrolling through the first of the Monate like an addict through Elkes Nieuwsflix, but nothing, zip, nada. Even Netflix is acting suspicious... Quiet then. I want a sequel to my favorite and I want it now. But with a chronic shortage and the absence of rattling conversations,) but why you should do that too) and today you should just put on the Chrismukkah episode for shits and giggles. You know, the holiday that combines Christmas and Hanukkah – completely made up by the coolest Seth Cohen.

Downton Abbey – Christmas At Downton Abbey

If you’re not completely up to date, I’m very sorry for this spoiler, but this is of course the episode where Lady Mary and Matthew finally get together. Definitely an important episode, as many significant storylines come back in this one.

New Girl – Santa

The episode where the loser carnival (love them) decides to visit as many Christmas parties as possible. I mean: Nick's awkward striptease is already reason enough to want to see this.

Gilmore Girls – Santa’s Secret Stuff

True love is postponing Christmas until your daughter is back from London. Yes, Lorelai and Rory, perhaps the best mother-daughter duo ever to appear on television. And secretly we hope that the rumors that there are more episodes coming are true. That would be a great Christmas gift.

The Office – Christmas Party

Drawing lots at work, yes, it can sometimes be disappointing when you bought a gift worth 400 euros for someone and you get a homemade oven mitt. But it does make for great television.

Black Mirror – White Christmas

Never seen it, but I've been told that this episode with Jon Hamm (from Mad Men) is worth watching. Good news: it's just on Netflix.

Merry Christmas!
