The four different types of drunk personalities
What type are you?
So you were hanging out with the lights last night? Or were you planning to do that tonight? Cozy, this Elkeholic likes that. And with the fact that your emotions can also be influenced by your choice of alcohol, we are now also known.. But what type are you actually after a few drinks? The type that wants to hug everyone or the type that is looking for a fight? Here are the four personalities categorized into four people that hopefully you all know. Which one are you?
Ernest Hemingway
The most common drunk personality doesn't show much difference when they've been drinking. Look, you might be a bit clumsier or suddenly have an extreme energy boost, but your personality? Mwah, that doesn't change much. And the reason this is linked to the American writer Ernest Hemingway is because he boasted about the fact that it didn't matter how much whisky he would drink, he would never get drunk from it.
Mary Poppins
Ah, the sweet nanny from the namesake film. She's sweet, witty, wise, and friendly – everything you are when you've had a bit too many alcoholic treats. Only a magical suitcase, you don't have that. And no flying umbrella either. I would keep that for safety.
The Nutty Professor
This is a case of changing from introvert to party animal as soon as the alcohol kicks in. You become less conscientious, let's say ‘sloppy drunk’, but that doesn't mean you're not fun. Probably the best stories for the next day are the stories about what you got up to.
Mr. Hyde
The drunk type you prefer not to be is one that suddenly becomes hostile. Those are the Mr. Hyde types, you know, from the Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde horror film duo. If you're a Mr. Hyde type, you'll be cheeky, annoying, even mean, and you'll also make a fuss when at some point it's said that you can't have any more to drink. Don’t be like Mr. Hyde, it's not fun for anyone.
It doesn't matter which of the four you turn out to be, the things that seem like a good idea when you've been drinking stay the same.
