THE FRUSTRATIONS OF ALL THOSE UNFOLLOWERS

And the seven reasons why they unfollow you

It has existed since 2010 and I am still completely captivated by ‘The Gram’ - as I like to call it. You have seen enough about instaholics here on Amayzine (check here, here and also this why we are so obsessed with the number of followers of another) and I am still not over my addiction.

I also have a genuine love/hate relationship with the Followers+ app. Do you see your numbers dropping again, immediately open that thing to see who has unfollowed you now. And holy mother of- why has that one person you sat next to in school years ago unfollowed you? Immediately unfollow #boybye.

.

But there is one type that I have really started to get extremely annoyed with. Namely the ‘follow, then unfollow, then follow again, and, yes, then unfollow again people’. I really understand that it is a tactic that works, just look at Negin Mirsalehi who followed thousands of people and became an Insta-babe herself. But even she doesn't press that unfollow button.

Anyway, here are the seven reasons why people probably unfollow you, if you want to know:

“Immediately unfollow #boybye.”

1. You are not consistent. Suppose you haven't posted anything for a few weeks (maybe even months) and people might think you have thrown in the Insta towel.

2. You are posting way too much and spamming everyone on their timeline.

3. Your quality is worthless and/or very inconsistent. Sometimes you have very nice photos and sometimes you just post crap. And well, nobody is interested in crap. Bye.

4. I just mentioned it: people who follow hundreds of accounts in the hope of reeling in new followers themselves and then immediately unfollow everyone. This is tri-hiest.

5. Spam accounts and fake profiles are regularly removed by Instagram, so the chance is high that your number of followers decreases because of this.

6. Do you have a business account and recently had a giveaway? Well, those followers who only followed in the hope of winning something are now suddenly gone.

7. People just don't like you anymore. Period.

Anyways, I notice that the whole ‘who unfollowed me’ crap is bothering me way too much. So it's time for a Followers+ detox. And it's so easy, because you only need one step: delete.
