The SATC ladies have serious beef

Last week there were reports: the third Sex and the City movie was not going to happen. The script was apparently already ready and Sarah Jessica Parker and Kristin both say that it is ‘frustrating’ and ‘disappointing’. That they wanted to let their characters experience the last chapter and wanted to share this with us.

Immediately the speculations arose. It would, again, be Kim Cattrall who threw a wrench in the works with her exorbitant demands. She wanted bizarrely large sums of money and the promise from HBO to let all her other projects continue. The reactions were not mild. What other projects? Who does she think she is? George f*cking Clooney? Sidenote, here can you take a moment to see how charming George Clooney was on RTL Late Night.

On her own Twitter account, Kim Cattrall says that her only demand ever was not to make a third film. I find it quite interesting that the profile picture of her account is one from the first Sex and the City movie, so she didn't find it all that stupid.

Another interesting detail, yes yes, I have been digging, is that Kim Cattrall does not follow any of the other three on Instagram. And she only follows 54 people, so you would think: there could definitely be a few more. Kristin, Sarah, and Cynthia all dutifully follow her. Interesting detail number three is that Sarah Jessica until a month ago still rewarded Kim Cattrall's posts with a heart, but has since stopped doing that as well. Trouble in paradise, in short. Seems clear to me.
