This way you easily stay in shape on vacation
Just when you're getting into the rhythm of training and eating healthy, you're going on vacation. Now the question is how to maintain the regularity of exercise in your daily life during your free days – surrounded by laziness and delicious food. Because how nice would it be to return from vacation with that body you've been training for all those months? First of all, take your sports gear with you and stay active during your vacation! Many people look at me strangely when I say that I always pack my sports gear when I go on a trip. Precisely because you drink a little more and eat what you feel like on vacation, it's important to keep moving. You certainly don't have to run a marathon or visit the local gym for an hour of spinning. Your body also needs a vacation, so make sure to give it plenty of rest. This way, you can also stay in shape during your well-deserved week of sun, sea, beach, and uh, ice cream...
1. Morning walk on the beach
The best moment of the day for me is when I walk on the sand with my bare feet while the sun is just rising and the whole hotel is still in deep sleep. And yes, the fact that you also burn some calories there is a nice bonus. Before you know it, you've covered a few kilometers. Then you can carefreely slide into the breakfast buffet.
2. Little course around the hotel
Put on your sports shoes and look for all the walls, climbing frames, stairs, and slopes. You can also just do boot camp yourself.
3. Look for stairs
Climbing stairs makes you super fit and you'll also get a nice tight butt from it. There are surely enough stairs to be found; if necessary, you can climb a church tower in a picturesque village in the afternoon. While climbing stairs, you continuously battle against gravity, your heart rate goes up, and because it's low impact, it's also safe for your knees.
Too hot to exercise, you say? Bad excuse, girlfriend. Put on your bikini (or better: your swimsuit) and go swimming laps. Very good for your heart and the perfect workout for your whole body.
5. Yoga on the beach at sunset
Book a yoga class on the beach at sunset. You'll completely relax and sleep like a baby.
6. Balcony workout
You don't even have to leave your room. Have you ever tried my home, garden, and kitchen workout? Guaranteed muscle soreness, you know. You need nothing for it and you can just dive back into bed afterwards.
7. Visit a town by bike
Instead of renting a car, rent a bike and take a day trip to that cozy town. This way, you get to see more of the surroundings, you don't have to search for those already too small parking spaces, and you can also have an extra drink. Just saying, huh...
8. Stand-up paddling
Just type in Google: Alessandra Ambrosio or Gisele Bündchen Supping and you'll spontaneously jump on a board. Because if there's anything that gives you an intensely tight body, it's stand-up paddling...
9. Jumping
Throw your jump rope in your suitcase and jump for a quarter of an hour every day between sunbathing. Just watch how quickly the sweat drips down your face.
