Tinder Gold
Know who likes you before you swipe left
Loyal swipers pay attention: Tinder is working on something new. Something that will save you quite a bit of swiping. It will cost you some money, but hey, paying for love is socially acceptable in this case. Tinder Gold is the name and they call it the ‘first-class swipe experience‘, because you can see in advance who likes you before you swipe right. Other features that come with it are: Passport, Rewind, Unlimited Likes, five Super Likes per day, one Boost per month, and a few other things for your profile. I honestly have no idea what all that entails (sorry Tinder, you haven't made an appearance on my phone yet) and it doesn't really matter. What you want to know is who has liked you before you swipe.
How it works exactly is this: you will see all your matches at the top of your match list. You can immediately swipe back and chat if you're interested, you can reject others, and of course, take a peek at their profile. Not necessarily many changes, but Tinder hopes to optimize the time of its users – that the time from meeting someone on the app to meeting in real life is shorter. Whether that will actually save time is questionable, but hey, isn't it secretly nice to know who is interested?
For now, this is all still in the test phase and Tinder is starting first in Argentina, Australia, Canada, and Mexico. When we can expect it in Europe is still unclear, but well, patience is a virtue. Also in love.
By the way, if you're not a fan of Tinder, here here are a few alternatives.
Happy dating!
