Eat your belly flat

Now that the festive months are far behind us, we hopefully have the lowest temperatures behind us and the days are slowly starting to lengthen again, summer is also getting closer. This means that the layer of fat, which we have been able to hide under the thick sweater for a few months, really needs to disappear. Because before you know it, you're on a plane to a sunny destination and need to put on that bikini. In short, work to be done. Well, you can even push things onto your plate that make your belly fat disappear. Don't be afraid of fats. Healthy fats right… Fresh goat cheese, a creamy avocado, or full-fat quark can really be fine. You can leave sugars alone a bit more often, though. I’ll give you eight delicious things that you can eat without worry. As much as you want. But then also just do your little workout tonight. You understand that.

Avocados

Contain two nutrients that are crucial for getting rid of that layer of fat. Avocados are packed with fibers that help you feel full longer.

Peanut butter

Not only does that jar of Calvé help you on your way to a flat stomach, but almost all nuts and seeds do too. They give you a full and satisfied feeling for a longer time and are packed with healthy fats and minerals. Spread away.

Eggs

Are energy bombs and are full of ‘belly fat burning’ proteins, vitamins like B6, B12, A, D, E, and K, folic acid, choline, lutein, calcium, iron, phosphorus, zinc, and omega-3 fatty acids. Moreover, they ensure that you feel full for a longer time. Perfect to start the day with, and a boiled one is the ideal snack in between.

Dark chocolate

Yes, you can just do that. Dark chocolate has almost eight times more antioxidants than strawberries and contains substances like theobromine and caffeine that have a positive effect on your fat burning. Just choose chocolate with a cocoa content of 70% or higher and that contains no more sugars than necessary.

Beans

Black beans, white beans, kidney or lima beans all have a humongous amount of fiber. These clear toxins from your body and make that layer disappear like snow in the sun. So throw a handful into your salad or a spoonful into a stir-fry dish more often.

Chia seeds

As you know, I'm really not a superfood fanatic, but I do find this little seed nice. Chia seeds are real fat burners. The fibers in chia seeds swell in your body and thus provide a long-lasting feeling of fullness. Do let the seeds soak beforehand, otherwise they swell up in your belly and believe me, that's no fun. A spoonful in your quark in the morning or as a snack in your shake is enough to avoid reaching for that bag of chips.

Water

Yep, simple as it is. Leave that soda and fresh juice alone and fill your glass more often with water or fresh ginger tea. It helps to eliminate waste from your body and gives you a feeling of fullness.

And last but not least, just keep training your abdominal muscles, okay friend? Promise?
