I am therefore lice mother Hannah
And who are you?
So I have a dog. Just read my five compelling reasons to get a dog. A baby. A puppy then. And the puppy had to go to school. In my arms of course, otherwise it's dirty. And with that, I indicated that I really did know that it actually wasn't allowed. For weeks I got away with it. The principal nodded. Kindergarten teacher M (just as disciplined as teacher Ank, but a thousand times warmer) didn't even hint that it actually couldn't be done. But then there was a teacher. Who is always incredibly nice. But now I got a reprimand. That it wasn't appropriate. That it was the school's rules. That was after I had asked where the sign ‘no dogs allowed’ was by the door. I said that I really understood, and hummed weakly to a mother the De Luizenmoeder tune: ‘Hello everyone...’ And we laughed. And she asked me why I hadn't looked into the dog protocol.
De Luizenmoeder. I'm already looking forward to tomorrow. Just because you suddenly don't feel alone anymore. You thought you were the only one who loses the library book every week, who finds friends' books suddenly popping up two years later during a cleaning session, who sent photos from the school trip to everyone (that honor should have been with the photography mother) and who walked into the circle instead of around it.
On the schoolyard, we are without status. Lost and hopelessly lost. Actually, we should be grateful for the Anks of this world who guide us in what is allowed and especially what is definitely not allowed.
Because I can't get enough of De Luizenmoeder, I found this De Luizenmoeder quiz. This way you find out who you are if your world were called De Klimop. Are you Ank? Or is there an Anton living in you? Maybe hysterical Nancy is a better match? Have you already started collecting toilet rolls for the spring table? Mother Kim? Kenneth? Walter? I did it and was... Hannah. And I was actually quite happy with that.
So I'm going to browse the site of my Klimop to see what it says about the dog protocol. Otherwise, I will suggest adding that addendum. Oops. Suddenly a little Ank is popping up in me.
