If you are a Scorpio
On Friday morning it was the standard recipe. I flipped through the Tina on the mat from back to front, first a short strip on the back and then the horoscope. Because would I perhaps meet the love of my life at the age of eight this week? Probably.
I celebrate my birthday on October 31, which makes me a ‘real’ Scorpio. It seems that you can also fall a bit towards the Libra or Sagittarius side if you celebrate closer to the border, but no, I seem to be a real one. If someone politely (I think) asks about my zodiac sign, I always get this response: ‘Oooh, I see, a Scorpio.’ With the accent aigu, there is a frown, eyebrows raised, the voice goes up, and a pouting sound is made with the lips. And I just think: why? Why do people react like this to my zodiac sign? What do they know that I don't know? Can it really be that everyone born in this time frame is cut from the same cloth? That calls for an explanation.
According to Horoscope & Tarot (by the way, read here why you want to do tarot once) the typical characteristics of my zodiac sign are as follows.
A Scorpio is:
- Willful and determined
- Intuitive and emotional
- Passionate and goal-oriented
- Charismatic and inspiring
But also, and here comes the trouble:
- Resentful and jealous
- Obsessive and compulsive (also known as demanding)
- Stubborn and closed off
And then suddenly you open a whole register of characteristics about yourself that you didn't know you had. Sure, a few, but am I this? And especially: does my character have such a nasty side? And, are all Scorpios like this? I actually find myself a bit less likable now. Of course, I like to be willful, passionate, and goal-oriented. But resentful, compulsive a.k.a. demanding and jealous, I’d rather skip that for now. The Scorpio is said to be not at all a pleasant colleague, because I am blunt. Meine lieben.
Think carefully before you start explaining your zodiac sign. But alright, it’s still dubious that part of it is true. A small part then. More tomorrow, because Lilian is a Leo. And oh my, the Scorpio is a little one compared to that.
