Johnnie Walker wants to attract women to whisky
I remember it like it was yesterday; after weeks of toiling in a little box of two by two, finally graduated. It had to be celebrated, you know, I know. With dinner, bottles of wine, and an afterparty. And after about five glasses, I find it necessary to switch to the stronger stuff. Whiskey, then. Apparently, I find it very pleasant in a drunken state. Yet, the little walking man, you know, Johnnie aka Johnnie Walker, is hardly consumed by the female gender. They are going to change that. The famous whiskey brand is getting a sister: Jane. The drink tastes exactly the same, but the bottle gets the name Jane Walker and a matching feminine logo.
Unfortunately, the sister is currently available in a limited edition of 250,000 bottles only in the US. The drink actually tastes exactly the same as the male version, but the logo underwent a subtle metamorphosis. The man with the top hat and the walking stick is replaced on the bottles by a woman with a hat and stick.
If you are one of the lucky ones who can get a bottle, you not only have a unique specimen in your hands but you also support an organization that defends women's rights.
I don't know. Just give me Johnnie, I don't order a lady steak…
