Men who give each other a kiss
We have an opinion about that
We women hug and kiss freely. With men, with other women, it can and is allowed. By the way, I mean the friendly variant here, because I don't want to interfere with what is allowed between you and your lover. Men who hug are often encountered, but men who give each other a kiss are a rare thing.
That's why I looked up when I saw it in the wild. I do see it more often in family circles, among brothers or a father, but not so publicly. Two (as far as I know) heterosexual men, who seem to know each other quite well, gave each other a half hug (that's a bit of a torso-bump) and a kiss on the cheek. I honestly found that nice and sweet, and the men spontaneously became more pleasant as well.
Our men are of course the exception to the rule. In Italy they kiss, in Spain they do it, in Canada they kiss a lot, in Belgium it is even so accepted that you get a nice kiss on the cheek from a business partner as a man from the other man. I find that quite friendly. But hey, better than with an outstretched arm in it, shall we say.
I dare to say that it makes you even more masculine as a man if you give another man a kiss on the cheek. And I did a little in-depth and perhaps not so thorough research: here in the editorial office, I got all nods of agreement from the female half on my statement. Maybe it even makes a man more attractive. Not that all men should walk around smacking all the time, but just now and then, in a cool way, it is appreciated. Now you know.
