These are the Dutch actors who are going to make it internationally

The Netherlands is well represented abroad. Whether it's about innovative companies, top athletes, or DJs, we often play along at the international level with ‘the big boys’. And in Hollywood, they can't ignore our small country either: Carice van Houten and Michiel Huisman have been playing in the premier league for a while now, but these names are quickly following in their footsteps. Remember these ladies and gentlemen well, because you will hear a lot more from them abroad...

1. Gaite Jansen

One of the best actresses in the Netherlands, and she proves it again this year in the series ‘Ik weet wie je bent’. But internationally, she already shone in the third season of my favorite series ‘Peaky Blinders’, and she is currently busy filming for the American series ‘Jett’, in which she has landed a major role.

2. Yootha Wong-Loi-Sing

Starred in ‘Hoe duur was de suiker’ and ‘Sneekweek',’, but this past year she has been non-stop in America for Oprah's series ‘Love Is’. Soon she will start filming for the second season. Oh yes, in between she is also playing one of the lead roles in the feature film ‘Really Love’.

3. Marwan Kenzari

He made a splash in the Netherlands with the title role in the film ‘Wolf’, and then things went quickly. One international role after another he could write in his name, and last week the Netflix film ‘The Angel’ premiered, in which Marwan plays the lead role. As an extreme Disney fan, I can't wait to see his latest role on the big screen: that of Jafar in ‘Aladdin’.

4.     Katja Herbers

A few years ago she was already seen in the American series ‘Manhattan’, and big ‘Westworld’ fans have undoubtedly spotted her this season. Let's hope that many beautiful projects will follow abroad.

5. Barry Atsma

One of the Netherlands' most famous actors and now also no stranger in Germany. In fact, Barry has just been nominated for a prestigious German award for his role in the German TV series ‘Bad Banks’. Season two is currently in the works.
