Update: RTL Boulevard reacts like this to all the fuss surrounding mommy influencers

If you missed it; there was some fuss. RTL made a segment in which they showcased the world of mommy influencers.

But they used photos and videos in their broadcast for which they had not asked for permission. We called the editorial team of RTL Boulevard. And what turns out? It was never their intention to make @lizetgreve, @janinebreukhoven, and @florineduif feel bad. Of course not. They have since also had extensive conversations with Janine and offered their apologies.

The explanation? The difficulty lies in the world of social media nowadays. If you throw all your photos online yourself, then there is a chance that other media will pick them up. That is somewhat part of it. They understand that when it comes to photos featuring children, it is sensitive. But it is also about how an item is made. What is publicly available online is also open territory for television. A strange, gray area, but that’s how it works. And well, such an item also needs to be finished within a few hours…

But it has never been the intention of the program makers to put the mothers in a bad light. From now on, they will also contact the mommy influencers before using their photos and footage in the broadcast. That has been agreed upon. And now everything is fortunately clarified and no one is angry at anyone anymore. Nice, right? We are happy with that.
