Why someone is or isn't your type
My friend is into brunettes, a bit of the sailing type with messy hair and little makeup. Yes, I don't really know where it went wrong, because that's how I only look on sunny days and holidays (minus the brown locks). And when I look at his predecessors, he doesn't quite fit in line either. I wanted to know how it is with having a type and whether types actually exist.
The answer to my question is: YES. Not that it's just one answer, by the way, because there are about a thousand theories. Those of men are sometimes even crazier than for women. So as a woman you would look for a replica of your brother (hey, I really love you, but no thanks). Handsome men are for the short and hot work, less handsome men are the keepers. The older man does well with women. The healthy woman is irresistible to men. Not too muscular by the way, but the type that looks like she can give birth a bit nicely. They can't help it, that's evolutionarily arranged. Independent, they also find it deliciously appealing.
Why do you fall for the failed businessman or the artistic soul? It's logical. Research shows that from the age of eight, you create a sort of blueprint for the ideal man or woman. The cutest boy in class, that handsome friend of your brother, a hottie from Heartbreak High (my time); they all contribute to what your type is and becomes. If it’s about looks, that is. Because above all, it turns out that you choose someone who has similarities with you. So that opposite is fun to mess around with for a bit, then they can leave the premises for one you can really talk to. There, we know that too.
