Big Little Lies season 2 is online

That's a nice way to start the week. First of all, we are of course all free (thanks Pentecost), secondly Big Little Lies has started again. And that second point unfortunately doesn't go in Netflix style with all episodes at once: we have to faithfully wait for a new one every week. So old-fashioned. But yes, better than nothing of course. I found season 1 very successful in any case, and ending with a dramatic cliffhanger made the start of season 2 take a bit too long for me.
Also not entirely unimportant is that they have quite a big name secured for season 2. Meryl Streep has been added. I don't know how they managed to pull that off, but hats off to them. I usually see her in movies, not in series. Hopefully we can enjoy her for seven episodes, because that's how many season 2 has. But I have good hope. She plays Perry's mother (spoiler: yes, that Perry who kicked the bucket in the last episode). Alexander Skarsgård, who played Perry himself, is not entirely convinced that he's dead. ‘We'll see...‘ he said about it. Okay, as much as I like him: I really don't want to see people whose death is staged à la Pretty Little Liars. That act is a bit over now, I think.
Her favorite role of mine remains The Devil Wears Prada, and I suspect that the bitchiness will also be seen in Big Little Lies. She wants answers about Perry's death, but confronts Celeste (Nicole Kidman) with the fact that ‘she probably won't tell the truth anyway’. Besides Meryl Streep, Bonnie's (Zoë Kravitz) parents also come to visit and they bring the necessary drama with them. If we are to believe the rumor mill at least, because according to the almighty internet, Bonnie's mother allegedly abused her in the past. Intense, therefore.
Furthermore, the entire cast is returning, which is also nice. In terms of atmosphere, they promise to be totally different from season 1, so I'm very curious about what they mean by that. Of course, they will build on the cliffhanger and how that affects everyone. Well, we will all experience it. I have popcorn ready, my couch is calling: I will be unavailable for the next hour.
