I don't fit anything anymore

Sunday morning, eight o'clock: yesterday (and actually the past week) I had a slightly too long workday and my body feels leaden. In the past hour, I have dreamed so intensely and vividly that I need to remind myself where I exactly am. At that moment, Otis comes in, eager to wake me up, but during his attempt, he kicks me hard on my jaw. Great, I've been awake for five minutes and I've already had my first crying fit. The rest of the day, my body tries to make it clear to me that I might need to slow down a gear: I am now seven months pregnant, so it seems time to adjust my schedules accordingly. So, I have canceled everything for the evenings in the past few days and have been lounging on the couch. Pregnant or not, I can recommend everyone to occasionally listen to your body and give yourself a bit more rest.

This time of year is always life-threatening for me: the most fun brands hold their annual sample sale and I usually plan a full route through the city to visit them all. But you guys are lucky, because since I can barely fit with this big belly, there is still something left for you this season. Let me list my favorites of this week.

Friday is the day: the delightful ‘We Are Pregnant’ event will take place again at the Werkspoorkathedraal in Utrecht. Personally, I think this is the best baby/kids fair in the Netherlands and not just because we are there with Lemej. If you are pregnant or have little ones running around, this is definitely worth a trip this weekend. My favorite brands you will encounter there: Nanami (delicious nursing pillows in cool animal prints), Nixnut (beautiful kids' clothing brand), Le Bump (I will soon immortalize my belly with them in a beautiful figurine) and of course our Lemej nursing shawls and swaddle sets. If you stop by, don't forget to come say hello at our stand: this way I hope to get through the long day with a belly a bit.
