The Crown season 3 is coming to Netflix on Sunday and this is what you need to know about it

Finally, the moment is here: The Crown season 3. The wait is finally over. Just a quick refresher: season number 2 dates back to the end of 2017. That’s almost two years ago and I personally think that’s quite a long time in between, I must say. But well, even that complaining is almost over, because starting Sunday we can enjoy ten episodes long again. Here's a handy tip: The Crown comes online at nine o'clock in the morning, so turning on Netflix at midnight is pointless.
For us, it has been a two-year wait, but in the series, it’s a few more years. Season 3 makes a leap forward in time. The years 1964 to 1976 will be shown, the time when Queen Elizabeth II was middle-aged. A very different setting, which I am very curious about. By the way, De Volkskrant has already seen the new season, and gave it four stars. Well, then I am really curious and the expectations are high. But I assume they will just live up to them.
The costumes, all the details, and the acting performances were especially praised to the heavens. Each episode further covers an important historical event. For example, the American moon landing is featured, as well as the meeting between Prince Charles and Camilla (juicy). I also find it noteworthy that Helena Bonham Carter plays a major role, that of Princess Margaret. She is one of my favorite actresses and I am very curious how she performs alongside Queen Elizabeth II (Olivia Colman).
Sunday morning at nine o'clock then. For the occasion, I will wake up with an English breakfast, add a high tea to it, and have fish & chips in the evening. I won’t go out the door and will binge The Crown. This has to be a Sunday.
