The new way to have less stress is ‘plantfulness’

Look, we are all busy. And we are all tired too, otherwise you don't belong, so that's how things go.

But you also don't want to make it too crazy with all that busyness, so sometimes you have to, between working and socializing and feeding children also destress. It used to be called relaxing, but those times have passed, because you don't have time for relaxation and destressing is pure necessity. So that has to happen. And how do you tackle that quickly and effectively?

The latest trend is ‘plantfulness’. And that actually means: doing yoga and meditation among the plants. Standing around a bit in the green, humming and doing downward dogs. It's a combination that promises gold: the mix of exercising with the mindfulness of the plants results in the least stress you've ever had in your life. And yes, it's worth a try. There are plenty of studies that prove that plants give you peace of mind and that a green environment or a walk in nature calms you down. Moreover, you can concentrate better if there's a cactus on your desk, so this new hype isn't so crazy after all. Plantfulness is nothing more than meditating and doing absolutely nothing among the greenery, so you can take in your surroundings well. So you don't have to get that terribly expensive subscription at a trendy gym – where you then never go anyway. Put lots of plants in your house and lie down on your yoga mat (or on your rug if necessary). Stretch a bit and especially gaze endlessly (okay, fifteen minutes because you don't have longer) at all your lovely plant friends. Suddenly you find the whole world sweet and lovely again and you can dutifully meet deadlines again.

And also know what you choose when you do put a little plant in your bedroom to start your day without too many worries.  For example, a blue fern gives energy, a eucalyptus provides a clear head, and a fiddle leaf fig brings calmness to your room. No worries, if you're too busy to buy a plant: they can also be ordered online.
