The perfect remedy for Tuesday: how to organize a girls' weekend

Thursday is finally here, then our friends weekend starts. Since we are going away from Thursday morning until Sunday evening, you could actually call it a friends midweek. I can't wait any longer. Where I used to make countdown calendars for Sinterklaas, I now do that for March 14. Can’t wait, or did I already say that? Such a girls trip doesn’t happen by itself, so write them down, the four tips that will help you to getaway get off the ground:
1. We have a ten-member friend group and it’s not necessarily very efficient to organize such a trip with ten mouths and opinions. That’s why every year three of us form a committee, they forge the wild plans. Next year it’s my turn so I’ll bring a notebook the size of the Night Watch. Just to take some notes.
2. The best part ever is that we are going to fly but we don’t know where to yet. That creates excitement times 100. A kind of ‘Surprise Me’ idea, so we only find out at the airport where we are flying to. Really looking forward to that moment. Immediately a good excuse to buy a summer dress if we suddenly go to Lisbon.
3. We are going away from Thursday morning until Sunday evening, including flight ticket, accommodation, activity and the maximum amount of Chardonnay. You won’t manage that for €100 per person. What I find genius about our committee is that they suggested to deposit €50 into our friends account every month starting from October. And those who save, have something.
4. Even if you as an organization make a mystery of the destination and the content of the trip, you can still involve the rest of the girl gang by giving individual tasks that must remain strictly secret.
Well, one more time then. I can’t wait, is it Thursday yet?
