The trailer of the Dutch Netflix series is out and you can check it here

Yes, dear Netflixers, from May 3rd it is finally here: the very first Dutch Netflix series is on the screen. Of course, we all can't really wait for it and it did take a little while for some details about this series to be released, but there it was suddenly, on this sunny Friday: the trailer. The series will be called Undercover, but you might already know that. Recently, it has been proven that Dutch series are not necessarily bad (I mention a Penoza and a Mocro Mafia) and this one looks quite promising as well. A recurring theme is that all successful series so far are about the underworld and/or drugs. That does say something about our little frog country, but it is entertaining.
Undercover has also managed to attract some big names. Shall we read along? Frank Lammers, Anna Drijver, Elise Schaap, Raymond Thiry, Tim Haars, and Huub Smit are just a few names. Now for the story. XTC producer Ferry (Frank Lammers) lives with his wife Daniëlle (Elise Schaap) in a camping site in a luxurious villa. Or well, luxurious for camping standards. They get two new neighbors, Peter (Tom Waes) and Anouk (Anna Drijver), an undercover duo. Just a small side note: this camping site is on the border of the Netherlands and Belgium, so get ready for quite a bit of Belgian language in between. Well, you know.
The series isn't even out yet but has already won awards, namely at the Cinequest Film Festival earlier this month. There, Undercover won ‘Best Series’. Hoping that those expectations will be met, but after seeing the trailer, I have good hope. I think there’s enough tension, action, and some nice dry humor every now and then. The first season will have ten episodes and as we know from Netflix, they will all be available online at once. Now that's what we like.
