These 3 series you want to see à la minute on Netflix

Netflix on computer screen

Dude, it feels like Sinterklaas, right? Just a few tips for you, as if we don't have enough choice stress with those thousands of series and movies on Netflix. Well, I had a bit of choice stress today too, because I couldn't choose from these three. So hey, let's be crazy, today you get three series from me. You also have an excuse for why you can't watch Ajax tonight (if you're not a football fan) or why you're staying in on Friday. a night at home. You. Must. Watch. Series. Anyway, here they come. Have fun binging.

The Family

Brand new on Netflix and deliciously American. Because if there's one thing Americans love, it's conspiracy theories. And these are well highlighted in this five-part docuseries. In this case, it revolves around The Fellowship, a secret organization that has connections everywhere. Apparently, they gather every year in February, on the first Thursday, for The National Prayer Breakfast. And yes, the POTUS is there too, ever since Eisenhower was president. Okay then. Sounds pretty creepy. Especially because this organization is convinced that church and state do not need to be separated. I'm ready to dive into this rabbit hole. Call me gullible or naive, but I've always been a sucker for this kind of conspiracy theories: I need to figure it out to the bottom.

Sintonia

Also brand new, and just like the above series, this one came out on August 9. Sintonia revolves around Doni, Rita, and Nando, three totally different types who are good friends and all grow up in the favelas of São Paulo. They are also determined to make something of their lives and leave the harsh life in this slum behind them. They do this each in a different way, with different ambitions. Music, drugs, and culture are in abundance, and this series really gives you a glimpse (at least, that's how it feels, I've never been to São Paulo) into how things go in this city.

Girls Incancerated: Young and Locked Up

When Orange is The New Black your real life is. It won't surprise you that it's a bit less rosy than in that series, but there are still many recognizable things. Different friend groups and in this edition of the series (very nice, it already has two seasons, the latest just released) the young girls are central in this prison in Indiana. It's a small prison, which also means that the girls don't have separate cells but sleep in large dormitories, in bunk beds. And yes, a lot of drama. Bizarre because they are still so young, and even though they have committed a crime, this season manages to capture very well that they are just girls and not hardcore criminals.
