This Netflix series will be your newest addiction, just wait and see

Yes yes, our hearts are beating with anticipation. If you plan to celebrate Sinterklaas, don't wait until the weekend and enjoy it on Thursday, December 5th. That Friday the 6th, you'll be busy. The first ten episodes, or the entire first season, of your new favorite series will be launched online on Netflix. And each episode lasts about an hour, so do the math. Yes, you will be unreachable on Friday. Netflix is definitely keeping busy in the coming months. with multiple Christmas movies and similar series. Not enough time, too much to watch. But Virgin River, that's the name of the latest addition, is one I'm genuinely looking forward to.
Because I'm a sucker for romantic dramas. Gossip Girl, Gilmore Girls, Grey’s Anatomy… I've completed them all, multiple times. So a new one is very welcome and it looks like this one is here to stay. In fact, a second season is rumored to be in the works. That news hasn't been confirmed yet, but the fact is that the series is based on a book series. A book series that already counts 20 books. Yes, twenty. Does that mean twenty seasons? We can only hope.
But anyway, Virgin River. The main character Melinda Monroe (Alexandra Breckenridge) moves to Virgin River, a small town in California, to work there as a nurse. The village life is something she has to get used to, and of course, it doesn't all go smoothly. Detail: the filming didn't take place in California, but in Vancouver, Canada. It probably has something to do with costs, but I also hope for a bit of a wintery atmosphere? Although that's not exactly what California is known for. Odd choice for this location.
Of course, there is also a McDreamy, a Chuck, or a Jesse present in this series. In Virgin River, this man is Jack Sheridan, played by Martin Henderson, who is very easy on the eyes. A romance between these two main characters seems inevitable to me, but it probably won't go without a hitch and will bring the necessary drama. Love it. So December 6th, mark it in your calendar. Did we really have room and time for a new Netflix addiction? Nah. But it's welcome.
