Watch, watch, watch: the trailer for season 8 of Homeland

Season eight already? Holy shit say, so we've all been faithfully watching Homeland since 2011. Well, all of us... I certainly do, and I believe quite a few of us do too. No series manages to stay as interesting and/or exciting for eight seasons in a row, including Homeland, but on the whole I still find it as addictive as in the beginning. And judging by the latest trailer, which was briefly dropped spontaneously yesterday, they do keep that addictive and exciting.
Just a quick op-ed: Carrie Mathison (Claire Danes) needs a break from her stay in a Russian gulag, where she spent months. Her mentor Saul Berenson (Mandy Patinkin) asks for her help in peace negotiations with the Taliban. As you can imagine, it's all pretty grim, so it promises a lot. Just as well, because of course we expect Homeland to go out with a bang.
Because yes, so it is the very last season ever. 9 February 2020 comes season 8 and then it's done. Finito. Does that mean I'm going to go easy on the very last episodes? Hell no. This will just be binging 2.0 again. And then goodbye with a tear.
