Yesss, Friends is really coming back

THIS. IS. NOT. A. DRILL. I repeat: this is not a drill. After months, what am I saying, years of waiting, it is finally happening. Years full of false rumors and especially years with a lot of repeats. But now it is really happening. Oh. My. God. As my favorite character said: ‘I’m so excited, I may vomit.’ Yes, you probably guessed it by now, but it is true. Friends. Is. Coming. Back. How you doin’? Well, particularly good, I can tell you.

And this news is fully confirmed. Monica, Joey, Ross, Rachel, Chandler, and Phoebe are all coming back, including writers David Crane and Martha Stewart. Channel HBO has confirmed the news, so 25 years after the very first episode, we are really getting that well-deserved reunion. You could say we were on a pretty long break with Friends, but in the end, they are coming back to us. They’re our lobster.

It would be about a one-time episode, but apart from the fact that the reunion is happening, not much else is known. So don’t cheer just yet that we are guaranteed to have years of binge sessions again. The internet is going pretty wild with all the rumors. Let’s list the biggest ones: it would be about a single episode or movie (preferably the latter, thank you very much) and it would be an unscripted project. Um, huh?

Now I have full confidence that they can dream their characters by now, so even if it really is unscripted, it will still be fine. Matthew Perry was also known for helping the writers here and there with his jokes. No worries then.

Can. Not. Wait. Any. Longer. Does Ross still love dinosaurs? Do Monica and Chandler still live in the big house outside of town? Are Phoebe and Mike still together? How rebellious has Emma become? Have Rachel and Ross had more kids? And not entirely unimportant: does Joey already share all his food? And were they on a break or not? We will finally get answers to these important questions in life.
