Brilliant: sign language interpreter Irma Sluis stars in corona film

Are you bored? Great. I have a movie tip: ‘At a Respectful Distance’, the first Dutch film shot according to the corona rules, featuring Noortje Herlaar and Tibor Lukács. What's special about the story? Sign language interpreter Irma Sluis plays the lead role. I’m not kidding.
Streaming service Pathé Thuis is the first to come up with the fantastic idea of involving Irma to ‘translate’ the dialogues in the film. Op Gepaste Afstand is about two people who meet each other in Tilburg during a walk during the ‘intelligent lockdown’. Taking into account the RIVM rules, the two slowly grow closer to each other. Result? Butterflies in the stomach and a film that is so in the here and now that you want to check it out now.
P.S.: The film (directed by Jon Karthaus) is free to watch on Pathé Thuis until June 1. After that, you pay two euros, so hop hop, you have twelve days left.
