Carole Baskin gets her own series

Oh yes, the bullet has gone through the church: Carole Baskin is coming back. You know, her from Tiger King. Who definitely did not murder her own husband. No way, she would never do that. That she has somewhat fallen through the cracks herself at the previous docuseries Tiger King  she has now somewhat realized herself: in this series, she does not make an appearance herself.

Whut? Yes, the new series about Carole Baskin is going to be a comedy series. With none other than Nicholas Cage as Joe Exotic, and Kate McKinnon will take on the role of Baskin. If the latter doesn't ring a bell: she is one of the regular faces of Saturday Night Live and is known for her talent for impersonation. Think of it as De TV Kantine 8.0.

I guess this still untitled series will also fall into that caliber. I am curious about it: in SNL they work with a live audience, which – I think – always has a positive influence on the atmosphere and humor. I wonder if that will be the case here as well. And will it even be a satire, this series? It can't be any other way, can it?

In any case, they have confidence in it, because NBC Universal is going to stream the series (on their streaming platform Peacock) and broadcast it on NBC and USA Network. What Mrs. Baskin thinks of it is still unclear, but she will just have to get used to it: there are still two plans on the shelf for series about her.
